Organize a school supply closet at home

With school likely online this fall, now is the perfect time to organize supplies! It will get you into the back to school vibe. Here are some things to try:
Get your kids involved
Take out all your art and school supplies and ask kids to sort them like-with-like. Eliminate what no longer works or is useful.
Find a space
Clear some cabinet space in the kitchen or add shelves to a spare room closet. Choose a space that’s close to where the kids do their schoolwork and art projects.
Gather containers
Shop your kitchen for extra jars and Tupperware to use for sorted items. Clear containers mean you can skip labels, and it makes for a colorful look.
Zone
Decide the best place for each type of supplies. Create zones for school supplies, art supplies, and craft supplies.

Hello! The closet makeover was dramatic. 🙂 It didn t appear that all of your old school stuff went back into the closet. (of course maybe it was soooo organized that I didn t notice it) In case it didn t go back in the closet, where did you store it? I have a lot of stuff from when I was teaching fifth grade full time. I have already sorted it and donated what I no longer wanted to keep, but I m not really sure what to do with the rest. I don t really have a closet to devote to it. Any suggestions would be great! On a completely random note, the Tip Junkie has a tutorial for a burlap wreath today. 🙂
