January Theme: All About the Kitchen

What is it about the month of December that wreaks such havoc on a kitchen? When January rolls around, I seem to find random things in every cupboard (like bubbles, and I don’t mean Champagne), stray crumbs and sticky things in my refrigerator. When my kitchen is in this state it makes me want to get in and get out as quickly as possible, which puts a wrench in my healthy eating resolutions.
So here’s what’s cooking this month: I’m going to reorganize my kitchen, set up functional stations, archive things I don’t use on a weekly basis, look for solutions to keep my drawers, refrigerator and pantry more organized, revise my meal planning and grocery shopping routine, learn some new make-ahead breakfast recipes to make morning happier, and check in with my friend, personal chef Mary Kachel. Mary specializes in anti-inflammatory eating, and she offered to write a guest blog about organizing a pantry that supports a healthier eating routine. I’m excited to see what these changes make possible!
If you’re interested in organizing to eat healthier this month, let’s do it together! Look for new posts once weekly, every Wednesday.
Cheers,
Lauren
